Different sources answer different questions
Official records verify licences, ticketing platforms show current sessions, interviews add people and process, and catalogue sites surface leads. They are not interchangeable.
When outlets repeat one another, article count is not evidence count. Editors should locate the earliest readable source and keep caveats where confirmation remains incomplete.
Correction needs a route
A sources page, update date and contact route let readers flag stale figures, dead links and factual errors. Without correction, an archive slowly mistakes snapshots for facts.
Editorial responsibility is not a promise of never being wrong. It is making errors locatable, explainable and correctable.
