Begin with a fearful character learning responsibility
On the surface, a young calf enters a dreamlike journey of snakes, rivers, a leopard and wolves. The steadier inner line is a character moving from dependence toward responsibility.
You need not accept every turn of plot to observe how the film repeatedly handles fear, trust, loss and protection. Those themes are the doorway to what it is trying to do.
Then ask why the form is so rough
Knowing the scale of production explains limitations in image and sound, but explanation does not automatically turn them into strengths. Watch both how problems were solved and which remained unsolved.
That double view is closer to reality than ridicule or tribute alone. A work can be immature and sincere, open to criticism and still worth recording.
Return the verdict to yourself
Box office, trending topics and cinema laughter belong to circulation, not to an aesthetic verdict you must adopt. Afterwards, ask separately whether the story works, whether the form supports it and whether the production context changed your response.
Those answers do not need to align. You can dislike the finished film and still feel something complicated about the fact that it was completed and seen.
